The Board of Directors have appointed a full time UK SHEQ Manager and a supporting team to give help and advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions to all business units within the Company.

Fusion Group of Companies and The Environment

Fusion Group Of Companies and all its subsidiaries is committed to a policy, in all its operations and on a continuous basis, of minimising its impact on the environment and adhering to all environmental legislation both in the spirit and to the letter of the law. To this end the company will aspire to maintain an environmental system in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004, take measures to incorporate environmental management methods into working practices and will seek accreditation across areas of the Company in line with business requirements. The UK SHEQ Manager is the nominated Management representative for ensuring that the requirements of the standard are met and that areas for improvement are identified through the audit system. The Company is continually assessing the environmental aspects and pollution prevention of all areas of its operations and is endeavouring to ensure that these are carried out in such a manner as to make the most efficient use of energy, materials and natural resources; to prevent or minimise any adverse impact on the environment; and to comply with relevant statutory regulations and the requirements of Stakeholders. This applies to the design of process plants and equipment as well as manufacturing, construction, distribution and other operational activities. Furthermore, the Company is proactive in carrying out Failure Mode Effect Analysis, which allows the Company to identify the causes of potential failures early in the development cycle, to evaluate their effects, and to put preventative measures in place to prevent potential failures occurring. The Company is also proactive in encouraging its suppliers and subcontractors to adopt sound environmental practices.

Fusion’s Commitment to Health & Safety

Fusion recognises that it has a statutory duty to comply with legislation and codes of practice that is applicable to its work activities. It is committed to a policy, which is effectively communicated along with individual responsibilities to all employees and sub-contractors. The aim of the policy is to assess and control the Health and Safety risks arising from its work activities, to continually improve its Health and Safety performance and systems, and to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. The Company strives to prevent accidents and work related ill health and in doing so it provides information, instruction, training and supervision for all employees ensuring that all personnel are competent to do their tasks. The Company sets and implements measurable Health & Safety objectives at all levels within the company and reviews its policy and procedures at pre-determined intervals or as required by changing legislation. Fusion Group of Companies recognises the importance of good communication and is committed to consulting with its employees and subcontractors on all matters affecting their Health and Safety. All employees and sub-contractors are expected to co-operate with the Company in carrying out the requirements of the policy and must ensure that work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves or others.
