Compression mouldings

Compression moulding provides a flexible, low-cost technique for creating thick-wall polyethylene products.

Compression moulding has lower prototyping and mould tool costs than alternatives such as injection moulding, and makes low quantity batch manufacturing an economic proposition.

You should consider compression moulding when:

• You’ve got a BIG idea – compression moulding enables you to stretch your imagination and create polyethylene products from the small to the very, very large.
• You have a limited budget – compression mould tools are less complex, cheaper and far quicker to create than those used in injection moulding.
• You have a product that needs to be solid and durable – compression moulding can achieve solid wall thicknesses of 100mm and above.
• You are questioning the use of steel – polyethylene compression moulded products are simpler, lighter and non-corrosive
• You want small batch production runs
